How much do you think these kids will remember about the Bonus Army during the Great Depression? Probably more than they would from memorizing the historical facts surrounding it for a test. This is a great example of creating and producing a digital media project to enhance real learning. Great use of technology integration into the classroom! Way to go Animation Chefs!

Project Based Learning (PBL) allows for rich, memorable learning experiences for kids of all ages. Through critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication, kids are able to learn through authentic learning experiences. Technology is a wonderful tool to incorporate in the investigation and gathering of information, but it is also the perfect tool for producing and creating projects that reflect the knowledge and understanding of the topics being presented. These types of authentic learning opportunities allow for higher student engagement and ultimately higher student achievement.

The Blue School was co-founded by Matt Goldman, the CEO of the Blue Man Group. This early-elementary school lists their mission statement as follows: "to cultivate creative, joyful, and compassionate inquirers who use courageous and innovative thinking to build a harmonious and sustainable world." What a great goal to instill in our youngest learners, and what a creative and fun learning environment for these young minds!

With video gamer functionality, doctors are now able to analyze and explore 3-D images of the inside of the human body.
